Reese Witherspoon’s Way of Saying Happy Birthday

That’s how Reese Witherspoon captioned the pic she’s recently posted on Instagram for her mother’s birthday. Showing her love for her nearest and dearest by means of social media is not uncommon for the 39-year old actress, but this selfie is truly outstanding, as both Reese and Mommy Betty are looking great and really happy together.

Seeing the two of them made us realize that Southern beauty may be a thing after all. If it weren’t for the caption telling us that Betty there is Reese’s mom, we might actually have believed they were just sisters! They both have the looks, the attitude and above all, a Southern something that you can’t ignore.

Anyway, it looks like the women in these family do possess some really hardcore genes. If you thought Reese looked a lot like her mum, the resemblance between the Hot Pursuit star and Ava Phillippe, her 15-year old daughter is bound to seem a little uncanny, to say the least. Here’s a selfie of the newest ‘twins’ in town:

The reason why these powerful ladies look so very much alike might be the fact that their family is as close-knit as it can get. The Oscar-winning actress has told the media time and time again that family has always been the most important thing in her life. She’s Southern and proud and says she owes them everything she’s achieved so far. Take a look at what she’s shared with the guys at Southern Living:

There are some sacrifices you make, and it hurts your heart sometimes, but my kids tell me they’re proud of what I’ve accomplished, and that just means everything. I grew up with a working mom, and I have so much respect for the things she did as a nurse and a teacher. I would never begrudge her that.

Bear in mind, though, that being one of coolest people in Nashville is not all our beloved Legally Blonde does. For instance, right now, she’s raising money for these sweet little girls, who are in desperate need of our help:

Legendary Musical Icon Prince Dead at 57

It pains me to have to write these words yet again in the year 2016, but sadly, yet another iconic musician has been called-back to the ether far too early in his life. Prince was found dead in his home this morning. The legendary musician had allegedly been suffering with a case of severe flu over the past week, having been rushed to hospital on the 14th of April. He was aboard his private plane when he fell ill on Friday morning, forcing it to make an unscheduled landing in Illinois. TMZ broke the story at the time. This is a rather interesting story, and I mean that ultimately in the refreshing sense of the word. Early this week in an interview with British news outlet The Independent, Hollywood director John Carney decided to attack Keira Knightley’s talent in what felt like a kind of out-of-the-blue way. A 16 Year-Old Drove Into Kim Cattrall’s House & Jen Finally Talks.

Kim Cattrall, widely known as Samantha from the popular 90s television series Sex and the City, shocked the internet yesterday when she posted photographs of a very graphic car accident, that just happened to be literally in her own front yard. At approximately 1am on Tuesday morning, a 16 year-old driver smashed her white SUV smack-dab into the very center of Cattrall’s Vancouver Island home, causing extensive damage to the front door and windows, as well as internal and external structural damage. According to the Daily Mail, the 16 year-old driver was out for a “joyride” with friends. Luckily, nobody was hurt in the incident.
